gratitude • Sunday, December 28, 2025
Heavenly Father, before the day begins in earnest, I pause to say thank You. Thank You for the gift of sleep and the gift of waking. Thank You for the people I love and the people who love me, even imperfectly. Thank You for the roof over my head, the food I will eat, and the work I have to do. I know that not everyone has these things, and I don't take them for granted. Help me today to live with a grateful heart, to notice the good things I so often overlook in my hurry. Let gratitude shape my perspective, so that even when things go wrong, I can still see what is right. Teach me to be generous with my time, my attention, and my resources. And when the day feels long or difficult, remind me of this moment—this quiet space where I remembered how much I have to be thankful for.
